The Makings of a Rock Star

At last, we are seeing progress. We run every day that we can for about 30 minutes. One sheep herding lesson long. In the past couple of days, we have had dogs run up to us, and Kasey has handled it beautifully. It seems to only be when he can't get to the dog that we have problems.

Today he meet two kids while I was out with him. He was so cute with the little girl, sitting like a perfect angel and letting her pet and love him. He was thrilled and so was she. When he was sitting next to her, he was almost as tall as she was! At that moment, I wanted to hug him to death. :) No jumping or obnxious kissing. I was so proud and amazed at his gentleness with her. He wasn't afraid or reactive to the boy that road up to us on his bike either.

Yesterday, we went walking with Suki, Tara, Kristen, and Holly. Kasey did fine. He was all business on the walk except to earn treats and love up on Holly. He still ambushes her with drive-by kisses when we are out walking. Holly was being walked by Kristen, whom Holly really loves. She is so excited to walk with Kristen that she forgets that Kasey is with me. Kasey even improved his behavior when we saw the horse. No barking the first time. Just one bark the second. Granted, I was shoving treats in his face the entire time, but I am still considering it progress.

I am going to take pictures at his sheep herding lesson on Thursday. I will have to post about that because he is coming along REAL nicely on that too.
